Mr. Edwards founded Edwards Industries in June, 1997 as a project management and systems engineering firm to support US Government, DoD and commercial organizations. Since its inception, he has devoted himself and the company to specializing in the implementation of emerging technologies and tools for project management that support small to large-scale businesses and projects. He fully supports the design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise-level resource management and metrics tracking solutions including earned value analysis tools and procedures.

Steve is the originator of many of the project management methodologies utilized by the company as well as the author of many of the training courses. He is involved in all aspects of the company infrastructure and oversees all the operations and business development efforts.

Steve has an BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an associates degree in biomedical electronics technology. He has more than 24 years of design, development, test, repair, manufacturing and project management experience in the computer software and electronic hardware design and manufacturing industries. His experience includes more than 11 years in the electronics design, systems design and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) industries; and more than 8 years in the biomedical electronics design and repair field. He has been involved in and is named on several patents in the cellular and cellular secure transmission industries.

Steve and the company are active in many project management, engineering and business advancement organizations including the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Microsoft® Project Users Group (MPUG), the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Greater Baltimore Technology Council (GBTech), and the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. He has published several articles in project management, been a contributing author to books on project management toolsets and made many presentations in the project management and electrical engineering fields.

Steve is a devoted family man and Christian. He and Denise, his wife of 20 years, live in Ellicott City, Maryland and have two children. He is an active member in community organizations serving on his neighborhood homeowner's association and the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. In his church, he serves the Lord as an usher, on the missions board and on the vestry council as well as the executive and finance committees. He loves to play golf (but rarely gets to play), enjoys working with antique clocks and is a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
