Functional Responsibilities (summary):
Experienced in planning, evaluating, directing, tracking, analyzing and coordinating projects. Must have the ability to work with and support complex technical tasks, apply analytical problem solving methodologies, provide technical direction to support staff, interface with contractor personnel, use resource loaded schedules and effectively allocate staff resources.

Detailed Position Description:
Associate project managers are desired to support existing and upcoming Federal Government and commercial clients in the locations specified above.

Associate Project Managers report to the company Vice President and to our client’s program managers and provide project management support services to the client on a variety of technology-based projects. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Interface with Control Account Managers (CAM’s) to facilitate schedule, cost and status
  • Lead internal re-plans
  • Process baseline change requests
  • Provide analysis of trends and variance reports
  • Perform program planning and cost analysis
  • Develop schedules and report performance
  • Conduct critical path analysis
  • The associate project manager will utilize Microsoft Project in developing and maintaining detailed and intermediate resource-loaded schedules for CAM
  • The planner will work closely with the CAM in development of variance analysis and what if / mitigation plans as required
  • The planner/analyst will be required to understand not only the planning/cost aspects, but an understanding of the entire work scope of the control account to assist the CAM in leading the team to meet all the cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
Candidate must be familiar with the principles and guidelines of PMI®. PMP® certification is a preference for this candidate. Candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills, and have the ability to absorb and manage large quantities of information in a fast paced, stressful environment. Candidate should have a working knowledge of Earned Value Management systems and analyzing EV metrics. A working knowledge of scheduling tools, such as Microsoft® Project, is required.

Position Type:
Full-Time (W2) Employee with Comprehensive Company Benefits Package

Minimum/General Experience:
Five (5) to ten (10) years of professional experience required.

Educational Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited university is required with a technology-based degree (e.g.: engineering or computer science) preferred.

Special Requirements Miscellaneous Notes:
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and some must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In addition to specific security clearance checks required by our customers, Edwards Industries performs detailed background investigations on all candidates as a condition of hire.
